We will be using this recipe to bake for the Farm Market sales.
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. lard, hot
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp soda
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 c. nuts
1 c. sugar
1 c cooked raisins (just to soften them...it's optional)
1 tsp cloves
1/2 c hot water (I actually forget this most the time...they still turn out ok)
4 Tbs sweet milk
2 tsp baking powder
Cream sugars, and lard. Add eggs and blend. Begin adding in the dry ingredients, adding raisins in last.
Just drop by rounded spoonful on cookie sheets. We bake them at about 350 for 8 minutes....we don't set a timer, just keep an eye on them and pull them when set and slightly browned.
Doubled it makes a TON of cookies :o) You'll be making cookies forever...
